The 14 Day Huaraz Trek
Relax in the charming city of Huaraz before exploring its surrounding landscapes and ancient cultures. Visit Chavín de Huántar, a remarkable archaeological site dating back 3,500 years, once the spiritual and political center of the influential Chavín civilization, which extended from the Amazon to the Pacific coast.
From Huaraz, we ascend into the breathtaking White Mountain Range to begin our trek. Along the way, we pass pristine alpine lakes inhabited by Andean ducks, traverse high mountain passes with stunning panoramic views, and may even have the opportunity to visit a traditional Andean farmer’s home for a glimpse into rural mountain life.
After immersing ourselves in the legacy of the Chavín, we continue our journey to Cusco, the heart of another great Andean civilization—the Incas. Here, we marvel at the exquisite stonework of Qorikancha, the most important religious temple of Tawantinsuyu, and explore the awe-inspiring ruins of Machu Picchu and Saqsayhuamán, testaments to the engineering genius of the Inca Empire.
