Explore Lake Titicaca: The Highest Navigable Lake in the World
Journey deep into the Peruvian Andes to visit Lake Titicaca—the highest navigable lake in the world, sitting at 3,850 meters above sea level. Spend two days exploring the islands, where you’ll immerse yourself in the daily lives of the indigenous communities. Hike along the legendary Inca Trail, following the same ancient paths as the Inca “chasquis” (messengers), on your way to the awe-inspiring citadel of Machu Picchu. This unforgettable trek will take you through breathtaking Andean landscapes and centuries-old Incan archaeological sites, culminating in the ultimate reward—reaching the iconic Lost City of the Incas.

Itinerary

Upon arriving in Lima, we transfer to our hotel in the vibrant Miraflores district by the sea. Relax and enjoy your first evening in Peru.

After breakfast, we journey to the stunning Paracas Peninsula, exploring the Paracas National Reserve and its fascinating museum.

Start the day with a scenic boat ride to the Ballestas Islands, home to sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and many seabirds. Later, we visit a renowned Peruvian vineyard near Ica and enjoy lunch at the Huacachina desert oasis before heading to Nazca.

In the morning, explore the Cahuachi Pyramids, a sacred Nazca site. In the afternoon, experience a thrilling flight over the enigmatic Nazca Lines.

We drive through the Andes towards Arequipa, with time to visit the famed Santa Catalina Monastery upon arrival in the "White City."

We journey to Lake Titicaca, stopping along the way to admire Andean lakes and wildlife. In the afternoon, explore the unique Uros floating islands and immerse yourself in the ancient traditions of the lake's inhabitants.

Today we travel from Puno to Cusco, visiting the Pukara Museum, the La Raya Pass at 4,300 meters, and the impressive Inca temple complex at Raqchi. Lunch near Sicuani.

Take the day to explore Cusco at your own pace, visiting its vibrant markets, historic streets, or simply relaxing in this charming Andean city.

We begin our trek at Km 82, passing through stunning archaeological sites such as Llaqtapata. Today, we hike 11 km over approximately 6 hours to our campsite at Wayllapampa (2,800 m).

After breakfast, we ascend towards the highest point of the trail, Warmi Wañuska (Dead Woman’s Pass) at 4,200 meters. We trek through Polylepis forests and may spot Andean deer along the way. Today’s hike covers 15 km.

We start with a visit to the Runku Rakay archaeological site, followed by a hike up to the second pass at 3,970 meters. Along the way, explore the ruins of Sayaqmarka before continuing to our campsite at Phuyupatamarka (3,750 m).

We rise early to reach the Sun Gate (Inti Punku) before sunrise, offering a breathtaking view of Machu Picchu. On the way, we explore Phuyupatamarka and Wiñay Wayna. After a guided tour of Machu Picchu, enjoy some free time to explore the ancient citadel on your own. Optional evening visit to hot springs.

Start the day with a sunrise visit to Machu Picchu, followed by a hike up Machu Picchu Mountain for panoramic views. After lunch, we return to Cusco by train.

Transfer to the airport for your flight from Cusco to Lima, marking the end of your incredible Andean adventure.
