Thank you for choosing Peruvian Mountain Journeys (hereinafter referred to as “PMJ”) for your tours in Peru. Please read the following terms and conditions carefully, as they form the basis of your contract with PMJ regarding your booking through this website or by email. By paying any part of your bill, you and all travelers associated with your booking agree to these terms and conditions.
Disclaimer PMJ is not liable in any way for illnesses, bodily injuries, death, damages, losses, accidents, delays, emotional/mental suffering, or harm to a person or property due to any cause, or any related financial expense incurred during our tours or communication with our company through any means.
By participating in any PMJ tour:
- You assume the associated risks and responsibilities.
- You agree that you have been strongly advised to obtain appropriate travel insurance for each person participating in a PMJ tour.
- You agree that you, your successors, executors, and administrators are subject to these Terms and Conditions.
- You agree not to initiate any litigation proceedings in any country in relation to the risks and responsibilities described above.
- You agree to indemnify PMJ against any claims related to the risks and responsibilities described above.
- You confirm that you are physically fit to participate in PMJ tours.
- You confirm that you do not suffer from any medical condition that could affect your ability to participate in PMJ tours.
- You agree to receive medical treatment in case of injury, accident, or illness during PMJ tours.
- You agree to indemnify PMJ for any claims, costs, or expenses related to the aforementioned medical treatment.
- You agree to listen to your driver/guide/host, follow their instructions, and ensure that children under your care do the same.
Media Policy
By participating in any PMJ tour:
- You agree that any film, sound, video, or other recordings made during a PMJ tour will not be used in any production or advertising without prior consent from PMJ.
- You agree that PMJ may use any film, sound, video, or other recordings taken during a PMJ tour at our discretion and without prior approval.
Payment Policy
- You agree to pay for any PMJ tour with a credit card in the amount in US dollars as shown on your invoice. Your credit card or credit card company may convert this amount to your local currency based on their own exchange rate and/or charge associated fees, for which PMJ is not responsible.
- A non-refundable deposit of 50% per person is required at least 45 days in advance to reserve the date(s), unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- The remaining balance of the invoice must be paid at least 30 days before the tour departure date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- PMJ reserves the right to cancel your tour if full payment is not received within 30 days prior to your departure, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Customer Cancellation and Refund Policy
- All deposits and payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- We do NOT provide refunds for altitude sickness, food poisoning, family emergencies, coronavirus illness, acts of God, or any other reason indicated by the passenger.
- PMJ reserves the right to alter or cancel any trip due to weather or any other necessity. If PMJ cancels a trip before departure, the client will receive a travel credit for the full amount valid for 1 year from the original booking. If PMJ cancels a trip mid-tour, no refunds or credit will be provided.
- There are no exceptions to this return policy.
